Once upon a time…
…there lived a very little girl ( and I mean VERY little) who loved to play dress ups,
sew her own clothes and wear new trends far ahead of her time!
Bright and early Saturday morning starts at The East End markets began the
journey of great success for Melanie Garland, designer for Little Potty Red Shoes. Melanie continued to study fashion design at Marleston Tafe which enabled her
to jet-set around the globe as a women’s buyer which consequently lead her to
open her own boutique in hip Rundle Street, Adelaide.
It was during this time that Melanie’s desire to fill the gap in the fashion market
became more evident as there was a high demand for fashion that was unique yet affordable… and thus, Little Potty Red Shoes was born!
Little Potty Red Shoes, a nickname of Melanie’s that her grandfather coined, is quirky and feminine while maintaining a fashion-forward edge. It is easily accessible as it is ‘boutique’ but not ‘high end’. The flirty party frock and the signature corset have proved a winning combination. Vintage treasures continue to influence the Adelaide-based label, an attribute Melanie continues to maintain.
Little Potty Red Shoes is sold nationally and ‘Potty-fans’ include Lucy Cornes (Power footballer Kane Corne’s wife), Natalie Basingthwaite (The Rogue Traders & Neighbours), Anna of BB06 and The Veronicas.
Whatever the future holds, rest assured that Little Potty Red Shoes will forever
be fun-filled and fast-paced and lives happily ever after…
